Messaging and Collaboration Assessment and Planning

Overview:  In this time of product line changes throughout the voice mail
industry and of changing expectations for IP-based communication, it is
critical to have a well-founded plan for the evolution of the messaging
applications in your company.

Our experienced messaging industry team can assist you in development of
this plan, bringing together knowledge, information and processes that will
help you create an optimal plan.

Your company has most likely invested millions of dollars in your voice
messaging applications with even more millions of dollars of business
transactions leveraged by or dependent on these applications.  A short, well-
defined engagement to evaluate and optimize the ongoing value and costs
of your applications is almost certain to return multiples of the front-end
expense both in direct cost reductions and in enhanced business results.

Engagement Phases:  The engagement to create your voice mail application
plan has up to four phases:

Phase 1:  Application Assessment
Assist your company’s voice messaging management team in evaluating
your current and future voice mail application requirements in both a
business and technology context, including usage analysis, application
categorization, and value assessment.

Phase 2:  Option Development
Use the evaluation from Phase 1 to create one or more options for
advancement and evolution of the applications in your company.   These
may include retention, upgrade or retirement of current solutions as well as
installing entirely new applications.

Phase 3: Evolution Planning
Based on Phases 1 and 2, and on information already available in your
company, prepare proposed evolution plans for the intended Messaging and
Collaboration applications and technol-ogies.  Prepare a suggested, written
3-year action plan and supporting financial plan, with key milestones.

Phase 4: Program Monitoring
If desired, provide optional monitoring, advice, and counsel during the
execution phase of the Evolution Program(s).  This would comprise a
quarterly meeting to review the plan and issue that may have arisen, as well
as a certain amount of telephonic consultation between the quarterly
meetings.

Engagement Duration and Pricing
Usually, the first three phases are completed in 4-6 weeks.  A fixed
engagement price will be provided in advance, after a brief discussion of the
scope of your operations.
